Candidate for the position of Ethical Issues Officer (PT)

Bianca Chiciudean

Hi everyone,

My name is Bianca Chiciudean and I am a first-year undergraduate in the Law faculty.

I am standing to be elected as the Ethical Issues Officer, where, as your representative:

1. I will ensure that anyone can make their voice heard and express their opinion on the running of the university, regardless of faculty, year or any other factor. By this, the student body (you!) is kept informed of the decisions made by the student union from which all students may benefit.

2. The well-being of all students is crucial, whether this is physically or mentally, to this extent I wish to organise a mental health awareness week in which different topics would be brought to attention. In addition, I would aim to collaborate with other student services such as the SIZ and SSR to enhance the safe spaces provided for all students, whether during the day or at night.

3. In the modern day many students believe more should be done to combat climate change. As these beliefs should be reflected by the university, I will aim to further embrace the recycling scheme through campaigns and incentives.

As well as this I will endeavour to give you opportunities to inform me of what I can do to improve your experience – because you know best what you want to change.

I would be honoured to be your Ethical Issues Officer during the coming year and to be allowed to make a positive impact on your university experience.
