Hiya, I’m Chris Njoroge (He/Him) and I want to reprise my role as the Black Students Officer.

Why do I want this role?

As I have already established working relationships with most of the cohort at Student’s Union, I understand what their workload and values are. I also want to represent the black community by having someone who looks like them or can at least understand their culture. I want to be the person that the communities can confide in and be able to place their concerns and ideas forward and reassure the community that their voices are being heard.

Speak Up and Be Together!

Although, it has been tough during the pandemic and trying to progress out of it with as many in-person meetings, events, and tutoring I want to reassure my support for you all. If you need more support from the SU let it be heard so that I can relay your concerns and try solving the issues together rather than going around the issue.  

Being Connected! 

I want to see more individuals and societies having events together and being proud of where they are from. Also, to know they can talk to me or the SU about ideas and issues about the institution to be brought forward in a comfortable environment. If you see any hate let it be known but also let me know what I could do more to make your experience here feel as if you're a part of this institution.
