UEA is for everyone

Being an international student isn’t easy. And I fully understand that. Coming from the other half of the world, I know what language barrier is, what cultural difference is, what homesickness is and sometimes

I know there are also some of you reading my manifesto also having these problems with studying abroad.

Therefore, I want to stand in the election and spread this positivity. I want to make sure everyone can have wonderful time at UEA as much as I do. And this should start with a person who is good at listening

I have been a course rep, a president of a cultural society (the beloved Vietnamese society to be exact). I believe I can understand the problems I have stated not only from my perspectives but also from other international students’. Each person has a different feeling on it, and each person wants a different approach. I also know that homesickness is not the only problem, I know, being a student is stressful and being an international student can be worse. But maybe, it might be not that bad if we add a little bit of positivity, which I have plenty.

As a person with good communication and organisation skills, together with friendliness and enthusiasm, I believe I can make it to be a responsible and engaging International Officer (Non-EU) in which case I can listen to your voice, represent your voice and make UEA be the home of wonderful as it should always be.
