Hi, I am Deena. An international student. I was born and bought up in Dubai and did my undergrad in India. As an international student, it is often hard to be open about any issues we face and mostly retract back to our shells. Having familiar people around can do both good and bad. The aim is for everyone to feel at home in the university, best preparing them for the world out there. Being in the UK is an achievement alone, the most we should and can do is make it worth it. I would be honored to be a voice and conduit for any student on campuses everywhere who needs help and support when needed.

As an NUS delegate, I hope to learn as much as I can teach when needed. Being a rep of UEA will be a greater honor.
