Strumpshaw Fen Walk

Sunday 11 December 2022, 1pm - 4pm

Come join us for a wildlife walk on a famous local RSPB reserve!

CAWS are doing our another wildlife walk off-campus on Sunday 11 December! We'll be going to Strumpshaw Fen, an RSPB-owned nature reserve a few miles outside of Norwich. There should be some great wildlife to see: things like Marsh Harrier, Bearded Tit, Bittern and Otter are all possible here at this time of year.

This trip is completely free, but you will have to sort out your own transport: Strumpshaw is very easy to access by train or by car however. Anyone who wants to come by train should meet our President Liam at Norwich station at about 11:50, to get the 12:04 train to Brundall, from where we will walk to the reserve. A return train ticket to Brundall is £4.20, or something like £2.75 with a railcard. Alternatively, if anyone is a driver and wants to travel by car then you are welcome to, and perhaps either let us know on the WhatsApp group or email ueacaws@gmail.com to say you'd be willing to help out!

Entry to the reserve is free for RSPB members, but £3.50 for non-members: this is a special CAWS discounted price however!
