LGBTQ+ History Film Series - Tangerine (2015)

Wednesday 23 February 2022, 6pm - 8:30pm

Lecture Theatre 3

It’s February and we’ve got some terrific films in store this month that celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month! All films start at 6pm followed by an open and supportive discussion. We hope to see you there.

This week we'll be watching Tangerine (2015) - It’s Christmas Eve and Sin-Dee, who has just finished a short prison stint, finds out from her best friend Alexandra, that her boyfriend and pimp Chester has been cheating on her with a cisgender woman. The rest is pure mayhem. Shot on an iPhone in downtown L.A., this film is a rollicking and dazzling force of nature, much like the two women stomping around the city. Emotional, raw, and hilarious, Tangerine should not be missed. The best Christmas film ever.

The film is 88 minutes long. Stay after the screening to join in the discussion.
