UEA Associate Membership

Learn how non-UEA students can join uea(su) sports clubs through associate membership.

Associate Membership Application: UEA Alumni, UEA Staff or other HE Institution Students

Eligibility

By selecting this application form, I acknowledge and declare that I am either:

  • a student at a Higher Education Institute other than UEA*
  • a UEA Graduate
  • a member of UEA Staff*You will be able to declare your specific HE institution when completing the application form further below

Application process

Follow the below steps to start your Associate Membership application!

Step One: Read the Policy

Please read our Associate Membership Policy for more information around what an Associate Membership option is, who is eligible to join, what the application process involves and why you need to go through the process.

Step Two: Read uea+sport’s Entitlement Matrix

Please read uea+sport’s Entitlement Matrix for information around Sports Club Associate Membership eligibility specifically.

Step Three: Purchase Your Associate Membership Fee

As per our above policy, you will be required to pay an Associate Membership fee of £50. This fee is separate to any specific Club or Society membership fees that you will later pay.

Please note your membership purchase reference number when completing the application form (next stage).

Step Four: Complete the Application Form

Step Five: Await Application Approval

Once you’ve submitted your application, our Activities Team will review this and update you with your application progress within ten working days. If you have a query about the status of your application, you can contact us via email on union.opportunities@uea.ac.uk.

Please only do this if you have not heard within the stated period however as this could slow your response down further!

Step Six: Purchase Your Memberships

Once your application has been approved, you will then be able to purchase your Club and Society memberships!
