Room Bookings

Our Bookable Rooms in Union House can be booked from 9am-10pm subject to availability and unless stated otherwise. Please complete the ‘Room Booking Request Form’ at the bottom of this page to do so.

Student societies and individual students are able to book some rooms around campus. There are important rules and regulations regarding student use of these rooms, including alcohol and health and safety regulations.

Before submitting a request to book a room, please ensure the room booking regulations below have been read and understood:

• Room booking regulations
• External speaker process
• Risk assessment form and hazard mitigation cheat sheets

For simple events such as meetings we require 2 weeks' notice inclusive of SU and UEA booking processes. For events with external speakers or larger events we require a minimum of 4 weeks' notice.

The Hive

Uea(su) clubs and societies can book stalls in the Hive, Union House. Please complete the ‘Room Booking Request Form’ at the bottom of this page to do so.

Dorothy’s and Bookable Room 6

It is possible for societies to book out Dorothy’s Bar completely or Bookable Room 6 and have access to the bar next door.

LCR

If you wish to look into booking the LCR for your student event, please email union.opportunites@uea.ac.uk and a member of our Activities Team will be in touch.

If you want to book an outside space on campus you will need to fill out this form that will get sent straight to the Open Spaces team at the UEA. Please make sure you apply 1 month before the event. Please refer to this guide to help with planning the event. If you need any assistance in filling out the form, please email union.opportunites@uea.ac.uk.

All BBQs for more than 12 people are only open to clubs and societies but they must complete an Event Permissions Form and fill out a Risk Assessment that can be found on the info page linked above.
