Constitution

Read the UEASU Constitution - the core document that sets out our purpose, powers, and how we operate.

The way the Students' Union is established and operates in law, is set out in its Constitution, it was approved by the Unions' Trustee Board, the Student body (through an All Student Meeting), the University, and the Charity Commission.

If you need support interpreting or understanding the text please email su.voice@uea.ac.uk.

Bye-laws

The Bye-Laws are the ‘instruction manual’ for how the Students’ Union should work, they are also the rules that govern how the Union does business. The Bye-Laws cover processes such as how our elections are run, rules of conduct at meetings, and our equality and diversity commitments.

Articles of Association

The Articles of Association are the ‘framework’ for the Students’ Union and primarily sets out the rules related to the Board of Trustees, the financial probity and overall governance of the Students' Union and is adapted from a model text produced by the Charity Commission.
